Kristine Quint

Kristine Quint is an associate attorney at Cascadia Cross Border Law. She is a member of the Alaska and Washington D.C. Bar Associations, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, District of Alaska and the Alaska Supreme Court.

Kristine’s experience includes extensive work with employment-based cases, and particularly extraordinary ability cases for clients in the arts, music, literature, and motion picture and television industry. She also has experience with civil litigation of immigration issues in federal court. Her current practice includes employment-based and family-based cases, asylum, removal defense, and civil litigation.

Kristine received her Juris Doctor degree summa cum laude from Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. She was selected for the Cornelius Honors Society by the law school faculty on the basis of her superior leadership, scholarship, and contribution to the law school community. While in law school, she served as Notes & Comments Editor on the Lewis & Clark Law Review, worked as a Research Assistant on crimmigration and immigration law for Professor Juliet Stumpf, and was on the board of the school’s Immigration Student Group. In 2023, she attended the University of Oxford/George Washington University School of Law International Human Rights Law summer program in Oxford, where she studied international human rights law and refugee law. Kristine’s article “Fault Lines of Immigration Federalism: United States v. Texas and the Reverse-Commandeering of Immigration Enforcement Power” was published in the Lewis & Clark Law Review in 2023.

Kristine grew up in the mountains of Idaho and Wyoming. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Montana in Missoula in 2014. In her free time, she enjoys downhill and nordic skiing, mountain biking, hiking, traveling, and exploring the mountains of Alaska.

• Salad v. Department of Corrections – Filed and prevailed on an emergency habeas corpus petition to prevent ICE from illegally deporting Mr. Salad to war-torn Somalia, required ICE to return him to Alaska from a deportation flight staging detention center in Texas, and then obtained an order releasing him from custody.
